Fun fact: Datsun/Nissan didn't undercoat the cars in 70's for the purpose of rust prevention. They did it for sound-proofing. Best to leave it on there in the areas where it's still good (as you are doing) and only remove the stuff where rusty repairs may be needed.

Try bristle disc from 3M, green ( strongest) takes everything off but does not attack the metal.

By the way, is the wire to the seat air bag a yellow wire? Had someone tell me that. I want to remove mine or just unplug as I bought newer seats from a 23 for my older 04

So is the "seat thread" you stitched back up with made to fail in an airbag deployment I assume?

the lines are off because the cars in forza are not 3d scanned. The cars in the latest Gran Turismo however are ;)

It’s called a “Tiptisserie”. I built one several years ago that flips to both sides for a couple projects I had here. Watching your video gave me several ideas to improve mine so thanks for that. (Also: per the suggestion in the comments, I wouldn’t recommend gluing it UNTIL you have everything exactly how you want it, and won’t need to change anything to fit other cars).

Why didn’t you just take off the tires?

Spray can undercoating is really thin, i changed to the underbody gun with the screw in cans and used about a gallon on an e30. Can recommend dinitrol 447

It's been a while since I screwed around with undercoating, but my recollection is that like paint, undercoating lasts longer if the resulting coating is thicker. The undercoating you are saying is good enough to leave on, is very thick. That thickness is partially why it lasted. The thickness of the undercoating you are ending with looks to be less than 1/16 inch thick. The thicker the coating, the more it dampens vibrations and road noise, and can endure abrasions (rocks hitting the bottom of the car, etc.)...

I was going to ask did you replace the airbag computer? Normaly it hardcodes a code that cannot be reset after it has detected a collision!

The sort of video I was/am looking for. I'm going to tackle a Saab 96 body. Someone else did the welding. He passed away and the car was granted to me. I happen to have another Saab 96 body for parts. So I can safely try out how things will work out for me. (No worries when the 'practice body' gets another dent. 😙. I've read the comments and the idea of adding construction glue before screwing all together is a good idea that I'll adopt.
